Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury will take oath as the 26th Chief Justice of the country tomorrow, Sunday. He will be administered the oath by President Md. Shahabuddin.
The oath-taking ceremony will be held at Bangabhaban at 10 am tomorrow, Supreme Court Public Relations Officer Md. Shafiqul Islam said on Saturday.
A notification was issued on December 23 appointing Justice Jubayer Rahman Chowdhury of the Appellate Division as the Chief Justice, succeeding Justice Syed Refat Ahmed.
Justice Syed Refat Ahmed took oath as the 25th Chief Justice of the country on August 11 last year after the Awami League government was toppled in the July mass uprising. He retired today, as per the retirement age.
